A pavilion on the Bijloke site in Gent, encircling an old, unused building with a ribcage-like structure that opens up in different places. This framework serves a space that fosters connection among the site’s residents — students and those from on-site institutions — while also welcoming visitors, such as event-goers and museum visitors. The design accommodates a range of uses, seamlessly integrating the pavilion into the vibrant, communal atmosphere of the site.
